Report on the Pacific Conference on ending violence against children

This report presents speeches and proceedings from the 2015 Pacific Conference. It brought together high-level officials from 13 Pacific Island countries (PICs), as well as regional partners and experts on child protection in the Pacific.  The purpose of the Conference was to: build capacity and understanding of violence against children (VAC); share best practices in order to strengthen responses to Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC); secure renewed commitment from Pacific leaders to EVAC to ratify, implement and enforce international human rights instruments and ban corporal punishment in the home, schools and community; and to contribute to the global call to end VAC and for governments to place children at the heart of the Sustainable Development Goals.
