Mental Health and Well Being and Gender-Based Violence: A Facilitator Manual for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support and GBV Community Awareness and Training (English version)

This Training Manual has been designed for use by IsraAID Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) volunteers. Volunteers have a strong theoretical and practical knowledge of MHPSS, including through delivery of community awareness activities and MPHSS support during COVID-19. Prior to delivery, it is recommended that all volunteers complete at least one Training of Trainers. This Facilitator Manual is designed to support delivery of a 3-4 day introductory workshop for community members and community leaders and village health workers. The workshop aims to open the dialogue about Gender-Based Violence in community settings and talk about the very real mental health impacts of Gender-Based Violence on individuals, families, communities, and society as a whole. In addition, it looks at techniques to provide basic Mental Health Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) for survivors, as well as finding ways together to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls. The Manual includes a training outline comprising 4 Modules. Each Module, includes detailed session outlines with session objectives, required materials, activities instructions, and key messages
